For the next Flavorful Giving installment, Sparkling Ice crafted by Talking Rain Beverage Company partnered with Feed the Children, a non-profit dedicated to providing hope and resources for children and families lacking consistent access to enough food for an active, healthy life. Through this partnership, Sparkling Ice and Feed the Children provided 830 kitted backpacks filled with life’s essentials to students at the Ace Amandla Charter School in Chicago, IL.
Feed the Children’s work has become critical in the past few years as many families experienced food insecurity for the first time in their lives. The Backpack-N-Go program provides resources by distributing backpacks filled with school supplies, essential items, food, and snacks to help support children throughout the year and during seasonal school breaks.
“Children cannot thrive unless their basic needs are met,” said Travis Arnold, president, and CEO of Feed the Children. “A widespread issue like childhood hunger will only be solved when enough people work together. Partners like Talking Rain are vital to our mission as we serve vulnerable communities.”
