Sparkling Ice Sponsors Scholastic Book Fairs to Bring Back-to-School Reading Fun to San Antonio Students

To kick off the school year, Sparkling Ice Flavorful Giving partnered with Scholastic to bring the iconic Book Fair experience to the students of Dorie Miller Elementary in San Antonio, Texas. Every student handpicked two new books for their home libraries – free of cost to them – and attended an exclusive reading session led by local CBS News TV personality and children’s book author, Clarke Finney. Benefiting a total of 375 students, this collaborative initiative reinforced the brand’s  commitment to children, accessible education for all, and fostered literacy all while celebrating the back-to-school season.

In addition to Dorie Miller Elementary, Sparkling Ice extended its support to five other public elementary schools across Texas, Louisiana, and Tennessee, benefiting a total of approximately 2,112 students. This partnership aimed to expand students’ knowledge and imagination through the power of reading.

“It has been such a pleasure to team up with Scholastic for these back-to-school book fairs,” said Nina Morrison, Senior VP of Community Experience at Talking Rain, makers of Sparkling Ice. “At Sparkling Ice, we are all about empowering the next generation. Our work with Scholastic Book Fairs is a testament to our commitment to education and fostering a love for learning.“

Scholastic Book Fairs enrich the lives of millions of children each year through the power of reading,” said Alison Angell, Senior Director, Business Development and Strategy for Scholastic Book Fairs. “We are delighted that Sparkling Ice is making it possible for so many more children to experience the joy of a Book Fair and to build their own home libraries with the books and stories that interest them the most.”
