Sparkling Ice Supports Veteran Community with Homes For Our Troops

Sparkling Ice Volunteers at the Landscaping Day of Specially Adapted Home for Retired Marine and Family

This July, Sparkling Ice joined forces with Homes For Our Troops, a national non-profit that builds and donates specially adapted custom homes nationwide for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans, enabling them to rebuild their lives to host a volunteer day to complete the landscaping of a home build for CPL Daniel Lasko and his family, a retired Marine who was injured while serving in Afghanistan in 2004. The event brought together the community of Wind Gap, Pennsylvania to help finish the landscaping of Lasko’s new home and honor his incredible service to the United States.

Homes For Our Troops is dedicated to rebuilding the lives of severely injured post -9/11 Veterans, by donating and building specially adapted custom homes nationwide. These homes restore some of the freedom and independence our Veterans sacrificed while defending our country, and enable them to focus on their family, recovery, and rebuilding their lives.

The home build for the Lasko Family marks Homes For Our Troops’ 354th build to date. Since the partnership began between Sparkling Ice and Homes For Our Troops in 2021, 30 custom homes have been donated to severely injured Veterans around the country.

“We are honored to be able to continue our partnership with Homes For Our Troops, an organization that shares our values and dedication to supporting our Veterans,” said Nina Morrison, Senior VP of Community Experience at Talking Rain Beverage Company, makers of Sparkling Ice. “We believe in the power of community, and through this volunteer day, we are proud to have had the opportunity to support the completion of CPL Daniel Lasko’s home build and be a part of uniting the Wind Gap community.”

“We are proud to have partnered with Talking Rain’s brand Sparkling Ice since 2021. They are an outstanding, and highly patriotic company that has helped us advance our mission of Building Homes and Rebuilding Lives,” says HFOT President/CEO Brigadier General (USA, Ret) Tom Landwermeyer.”

Sparkling Ice and Homes For Our Troops are committed to making a positive impact on the Veteran community. Through these home builds, both organizations are working to create meaningful change in the lives of those who have selflessly defended our country.
